The Greatest Gift

The Greatest Gift
It is very obvious to the Christian that Christmas is about the birth of Jesus Christ.  It is not so obvious to the unbeliever, because Christmas is celebrated as xMas or other variants.  However, it is our role as believers to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, even at Christmas time, and that’s why we sing carols such as “Go Tell It On The Mountain”.

Go, tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ is born

What a powerful and simple song that is.  It is a calling for us to always be ready to share the Gospel, after all, it’s not exclusively for “us” only.  Be ready to share.

Christmas is also a very powerful time of the year, and the songs vary from happy to melodic to joyful and triumphant. All the songs at Christmas medley together to create a heavenly, humble atmosphere, that makes you feel spiritually safe inside.  And as a believer, you are safe.

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

How simple it is to become a believer though.  Just to say those words and let grace wash over and cleanse your sin.  It is “a m a z i n g”.  What do you have to do?  Well, it is free.  That’s the best and most unbelievable part.  It is free.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  Romans 6:23

This is the greatest gift you could ever receive, salvation through Jesus Christ.  All it takes is for you to accept this gift.  Jesus loves you, and chose to become your Savior, your families Savior, your friends Savior, and everyone’s Savior.

All it takes is for you to say those words, and believe…

Remember, you are loved.
